The COBALT Health Air Chair Active provides the ultimate in pressure care and comfort for users at risk. The in-built unique alternating air cell system with semi-automatic operation delivers the best possible pressure care, whilst also providing 8 hours of battery operation, giving you the freedom to move around between charges.

We have partnered with the experts in alternating pressure care systems and pumps, Carilex, in designing the Air Chair Active. The Carilex system provides semi-automatic operation of the Advanced Active Air Cell System, which features IPS (Intelligent Pressure Sensing). This automatically adjusts air cell pressure in response to patient movements. In addition, the system can be fully customised for patient comfort and care needs using the digital adjustment.

This alternating pressure care system operates in concert with our Air Chair foam system and 4-way stretch surface covering. The COBALT Health Air Chair Active is specifically designed for use in high care environments where patients can be at risk of pressure sores and other pressure management issues. The alternating air cell system, combined with our soft foam system throughout the chair, provides excellent pressure relief.

The chair is highly adjustable, including arm rests and head wings that can be lowered below seat height for side transfers, as well as back rest tilt, leg rest tilt, tilt in space and adjustment for the height of the footrest pads.

Four large locking castors and rear push handles and controls mean that the Air Chair Active can be easily pushed, adjusted and locked in place by carers. The sturdy frame makes it extra durable, as does the high-quality four-way stretch upholstery and powder coating on the frame.
